HMMC for Womens was founded on 10th August 1959. However, the journey of National Cadet Corps (NCC) started on the same day in the year 2016 with about 52 Cadets. It was 2017 when the NCC Commanding Officer visited the college and cadets planted twenty plants in presence of him on that auspicious World Environment Day. On 14th August the college undertook several campaigning programmes of 'Swach Bharat Abhiyan' covering the nearby areas of college campus. On 16th August, the college attended the ranking ceremony at Kalighat Office (20 Bengal NCC).
The college also conducted an eye check-up campaign in collaboration with Susruta on 14th September. SWACH BHARAT ABHIYAN has always been their first priority to encourage everyone. To leave deep impacts on people, our NCC team made a short film named "Mera Gaon, Mera Desh Swachata ki dete Sandesh"; this short film was presented in 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan', short film making competition held on 2nd October 2017, It was released on same day on Youtube by our college. The College along with the cadets took up a cleaning campaign at Dakhineshwar Railway Station on second week of October, 2017.
Nine cadets went to Methodist School, Dankuni on 22nd December, 2017 for attending a camp which was held from 22nd to 30th December, 2017. During this period, the cadets participated in dance competition was held on 29th December & on 30th December, 2017 in which our cadets participated. Not only drawing, installing tents, the college also puts pressure on students to become an all-rounder.
The college has introduced many other co-curricular activities including yoga which is the first initiative on part of an affiliating college under West Bengal State University. Cultural activities like debate, recitation, essay writing and fitness as well as games like kho kho and table tennis are also being played, where cadets participate and often take first, second as well third position in such activities.
