Hiralal Mazumdar Memorial College for Women, Dakshineswar, Kolkata, has emerged as a centre of learning experience with a difference. Graded with a A+ score in 3rd Cycle by NAAC, the College is now striving for excellence and to elevate its academics further. The College aims to transform the institution into a hub of emancipation for the girls’ who flock to the campus from adjoining suburban and rural belts of Hooghly, Howrah and North 24 Parganas.
The idea of imparting education to the women folk of the area was conceived nearly six decades ago in 1959. The road ahead was bumpy, clouded with challenges; yet our zeal to strive for a noble cause continued unabated, with the dream of elevating the college at least to the state level.

HMMCW was established by late Shri Amritalal Mazumdar who in the memory of his son established this college in 1959 for promoting education among the women of Dakshineswar locality. HMM College has access to all of our placement resources and alumni network, through which thousands of job opportunities are generated.
There is easy accessibility to online help in terms of grievances and harrasment. Teachers can be contacted with the help of video chats and e-mails.
LMS that is easily accessible on a number of devices such as mobile phones, I-pads, computers and other such devices. Availability of ready reckoners such that students can remember the key points of the session learnt.
The transition to an environment of learning becomes easy with the availability of multiple sources of learning such as text books, power-point presentations, and story boards on various subjects.
