Eligibility & Intake Capacity

Eligibility to apply for a Course
(In compliance with the Admission guideline of West bengal state University, Barasat)

For Honours Subject
Minimum 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying Examination.
OR
Minimum 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying Examination.
OR
Minimum 50% marks in the aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject.

40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject for S.C. / S. T. candidates in all respects.
Candidates Applying for Food & Nutrition (H) must qualify in Chemistry (Theory) in Higher Secondary.

For General Subject
Candidates applying for General Course must secure minimum qualifying marks in the concerned subject in 10+2 Examination. For rest of the criteria candidates are requested to go through the Admission Regulation as posted under Online admission button in the Website.

LIST OF RELEVANT DOCUMENTS AT THE TIME OF COUNSELING & ADMISSION
The following documents are to be produced along with the filled in forms at the time of Counseling &Admission:
Original Admit Card of Madhyamik Pariksha or its equivalent examination for verification. Original Mark sheet of Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination for verification. Original Caste / Relevant Certificate from Competent Authority, if any, for verification. Two Passport Size photographs of the Candidate Challan copy of the admission processing fees Income certificate of parents/guardian (Obtained within current financial year).
