The college grants Free Studentship/Half-free Studentship to poor but meritorious students. Applications for Free Studentship must be addressed to the Principal in the prescribed form within a notified date. Boys and girls who have secured at least 50% and 45% marks respectively in the last qualifying examination are eligible to put in their application. At least 15% of the total students of the college are granted concession. Students from Scheduled Castes and Tribes as well as from Other Backward Classes and Minority Communities are entitled to special stipends. For this they have to properly fill in prescribed forms and send them through the Principal to concerned government officials authorized to release these grants.
From 2014, the Students’ Union also has introduced a Merit Scholarship Scheme for the meritorious but poor students. The highest marks securing students of second year and third year classes of both B.A. and B.Sc. streams will get a scholarship equivalent to six months’ college fees.
This particular project is entirely funded by the teachers of this college. The primary aim of generating a Students’ Benevolent Fund is to provide financial aids to the poor yet meritorious students of the college.
